August 2007 Trestleboard Robert Burns #243

As I get closer to the end of my year and passing the gavel, my thoughts are of the Worshipful Brothers before me, who said it would go fast, and it has. I am very proud of the Brethren in our Lodge for being active in all aspects and activities. I know in my heart that we have the momentum and desire to keep the ball rolling. To further learn, experience, and teach. I stand proud, because of you.

With the amount of degree work, committee decisions, and functions that need to happen, I ask for the continuation of your support for the line officers to follow. The November 6th stated meeting will be a step up night, so please be there to support the upcoming line.

It was a great pleasure, and privilege, to have our MWGM Wayne I. Smith's Official Visit in October. I can't tell you how much I appreciated his visit and enjoyed his company. I am proud to know such a fine man. I also want to thank the Grand Lodge Team Members and Committeemen who also came in support of the Grand Master and our Lodge. Their presence is very much appreciated and welcomed. I hope to see them all again soon.

I want to make a point of thanking all who were involved in the making of that evening a success. My SW Steve Wandel, SS WB Bob Wallinger, JS Larry Thomas and others. I can't thank you enough for the support.

We have a full agenda over the next few years or so, with wonderful plans. Make a point of visiting your Blue Lodge. Play a part in the Fraternity. Be proud of who you are, and what you represent. Live in peace.

It’s October already and we are rapidly coming to the end of another Masonic year. I hope that you have all enjoyed the brotherly love and fellowship we have had throughout the last year. I think that WB John Sutton and all the Officers have done an outstanding job serving Robert Lodge #243 this year. I personally want to say that it’s been honor to serve as your Senior Warden and I hoped that I have earn your trust and vote at election time.

I’d like to thank the Stewards for an outstanding year of meals and snacks. The dinner for the Official Visit of the Grand Master was a great example of the tasty dinners we have all enjoyed every meeting this year. Thank you WB Bob Wallinger and Bro. Larry Thomas. I hope to continue that standard of having a dinner before each stated meeting this next year.

We still have some work to do this year of course. On October 23^rd at 7:00pm we will be raising a new Master Mason in Robert Burns, Bill Ferguson. Rumor has it that a 2^nd degree may be coming up shortly as well.

Lastly, I want to thank all of you that took the time to fill out a survey form back in June. I want you all to know that with the assistance of your surveys, I have completed my tentative calendar for next year. I have included many of the ideas and thoughts that you expressed in those surveys. I hope that you are excited as I am about next year. There is no better time to be a Mason! Once the elections are final, I will be posting the calendar of events for the whole year so everyone can plan ahead. Don’t forget that the installation practice is scheduled for Nov. 25^th at 2:00pm.
